Q: Do you serve meals at the guesthouse?
A: Yes we now have an ala carte restaurant at Oak Park, “The Acorn”. This caters for diners, lunches and light meals and confectionary. A full English breakfast is served in the restaurant or around the pool.

Q: Do we have to notify you in advance if we want dinner?
A: If you are a resident at Oak Park there is no need to notify us in advance.

Q: Can I eat my meals in my room?
A: This can be arranged however a R20.00 tray charge will be levied.

Q: Can we eat at the restaurant if we are not resident at Oak Park?
A: You do not have to be a resident to eat at “The Acorn” however booking is essentially.

Q: Can we invite guests to lunch or dinner if we are resident at Oak Park?
A: You may invite guests to any meals served in “The Acorn” however booking is essential.

Q: I am staying at Oak Park but would like to invite some business associates around?
A: We can offer you the services of the bar and depending on the number of people the conference room. We can arrange meals in the “The Acorn” or snack platters in the bar or conference room.

Q: How many people can your conference room accommodate?
A: We recommend not more than 30 people on a boardroom seating format and 50 to 60 people seated in a classroom format. We can accommodate 40 to 50 people seated on a dinner basis. We do also now offer additional seating around the pool for 16 guests. “The Acorn” can seat 20 guests. We do have the added option of offering outdoor seating in our magnificent landscaped garden for up to 100 guests. This is obviously weather permitting.

Q: If I am a resident at Oak Park and need to invite business associates around for business meeting or interviews how can this be arranged?
A: We have a conference centre on the property and offer extremely competitive daily or hourly rates. We offer teas, eats meals and drinks.

Q: Do you have self catering facilities?
A: Room 12 and 14 offer self catering facilities including a bar fridge, microwave and two plate stove / oven.

Q: Are we allowed to consume our own alcohol on the property?
A: We offer a full bar service on the property and request our residents and day visitors to utilise the facility. Should you wish to bring your own wine to the “The Acorn” you are most welcome, however a corkage fee will be charged.

Q: Do you allow pets on the property?
A: Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate pets on the property.

Q: Can we drink the water on the property?
A; Yes. Our water is from a borehole located on the property and is suitable for consumption.

Q: Do you allow smoking on the property?
A: We don’t not have any smoking rooms at Oak Park. Smoking is not permitted in any of our facility other than the bar and outdoors. We request that smoking guest please make use of strategically placed ashtrays and refrain from throwing butts into the garden.

Q: How do we secure our booking at Oak Park?
A: A booking can only be confirmed once full payment has been received, or your full credit card details are supplied or a voucher is received from a travel agent registered on our data base. We cannot guarantee you’re booking if one of the above are not complied with.

Q: What forms of payment are acceptable?
A: We accept cash, electronic payments, MasterCard, Visa and Diners Club cards. We do not accept cheques or Amex. Only travel agent vouchers registered on our data base is accepted.

Q: What are your cancellation policies?
A: We work on a 24hr cancellation. Should a booking be cancelled within of 24hrs of your arrival date you will be liable for these costs.
